Default anyone had a clutch replacement?

Mine is just about to hit 60K...

here's the deal. The clutch never slips during normal driving. The only time it does it is when I'm full throttle, shifting through gears...

if I'm at full throttle, and shift from first to second at redline, the clutch slips and never grabs second gear. Letting off the throttle generally allows it to grab. Same thing happens when shifting from second to third.

If I noticeably slow my shift speed, it'll work just fine with no slipping... but the shift speed is really slow and lose just as much time and power.... and shifting this way always causes the engine to drop out of VTEC.

anyone have any ideas? this isn't the first time it's done it... It's been doing it since maybe 40K or 45K... and it doesn't happen all the time either, just if I'm full throttle and I shift really fast.

this can't be a normal thing... any help/suggestions?

this is my second 02 s2k and my clutch is just now starting to do exactly what yours is doing but only 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th and only if i dont shift perfectly the car has 42k on it. and on my first s2k the clutch went around 55k which is when i bought a spoon flywheel and a exeddy stage 1 clutch. im not sure what im going to go with this time? what clutch were you thinking of going with?

I dunno, I hadn't really thought about replacing it yet because that's really ****ing gay if the clutch is going out before 60K miles... I mean, the clutch on my Prelude didn't go out 'til almost 130K... so what the hell?

I put an Exedy stage 1 in my Prelude, and loved it... I might go with that this time as well, but maybe something different.... Toda, maybe.

This is the set up I went with. I don't need it yet, but I bought it for when I do need it.

Clutch life varies ALOT with driver technique/abuse. I've seen the go from 20k to over 100k. All depends on if you "slip" it alot at stoplights, quick-shift keeping high revs, launch incorrectly (even once), etc.

Mine went at 84k. I got such a good deal on OEM that I just stuck with it, but I also like the ACT.
