Default ap1 with 120k miles on stock clutch?

Hey guys, I own a 02 ap1, I bought the car last Halloween from an older guy, he was the first owner of the car. When I bought the car from him it had 106,000 miles and it now has 120,000 miles. The previous owner said that he had never changed the cluth. I noticed the cluth starting to feel less responsive when taking off and the pedal was starting to feel a little different. So I assume it's time for a new clutch and take the car to my mechanic. He has had the car since last Thursday and he's still trying to get the transmition out. He told me earlier today that he's having trouble removing some sort of bolt that seems to be rusted. Now I have two questions that hopefully you guys can help me amswer.

1) By reading around on forums and talking to other s2k oweners I've noticed that I don't know anyone who has had the same clutch from factory past 70k miles. Now im wondering if maybe the dude who I bought my car either drove like a snail and shifted well enough to have my clutch last more than 120k miles or if he for some reason lied to me or had forgotten that he had changed the clutch which in my opnion I don't think he would have forgotten.

2) The bolt that my mechanic is having trouble taking off because he believes is rusted is something I thought I would ask and see if anyone else had the same problem.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I have no idea he just mentioned something about a bolt that's rusted and he's spraying some type of lube on it to get it to freem, a bolt up top somewhere I think he mentioned the drive shaft as well.. -.-
