Default AP1 head on AP2 block?

I have an opportunity to pick up an AP2 block out of an '05 that was wrecked with 416 miles on it and I was wondering if my AP1 head would fit onto that block. I tried to search but I can never get it to work for some reason. Just looking to rev the 2.2L to 9k.

Also, what do you think a fair price would be on that AP2 block?

It already has the AP1 head. It's the longer stroke that requires the lower redline...

yeah the head on the ap1 and ap2 are the same. it's not the head that prevents the ap2/F22 from revving to 9000rpms.

as jasonw said, it's the block that requires the lower redline.

Gotcha, didn't realize that was the case.

If I were to pick it up for a spare, what is the going price for these things

Bringing this back from the dead. If i were to put an ap1 head into my 2008 ap2, could i just mate up my existing intake manifold/throttle body to the ap1 head and be fine?
Other than the dbw difference is there anything else i need to prep for?

Yeah, the stroke length increase in the AP2 give the extra 0.2 liters displacement.

Pretty sure that the head on the "06+ is different than the AP1 head, at least the mating surface for the intake.
