Hi guys, I was just wondering have anyone ever put built ap1 head into built ap2 block. I have a fully built ap2 longblock, but on my ap2 head just mild built, so im thinking that i have an ap1 head laying around. I probably send it to Laskey or Inlinepro get it built. Any suggestion would be good, Thanks guys!!!!

 

from what I was told the two heads are identical. It's the shortblock that's the difference.

I'm currently running a alaniz ap2 head on my stock ap1 block. I plan to either building this block or buying an ap2 and building that.

Can anyone confirm this?

 

'00 to '05 are interchangeable. In '06 they changed the smog part of the head and eliminated the air injection passages..

 

The retainers are different in the AP2 head but if it's 'built' they are probably replaced anyway.
