Post AP1 oem brake pads on AP2

Curious,

I read from several post that people recommend to use oem AP1 pads over AP2 oem pads, because compound on AP1 is better. Less fade, less dust, slightly longer wear. Has anyone used AP1 pads on their AP2 cars?

Thx.

haven't used them, but the steel number (backing plate) and puck number (friction pad) are the same numbers. i have heard that the compounds are slightly different, but the actual dimensions are all the same.

I have always heard that the AP2 ones are better for stopping power (more aggressive compound). However, the AP1's definetely dust less. No comment about the wear. Both pads are interchangable as my2ks2k has said.

biggest complaint with OEM AP2 pads is more dust.

All 00-07 S2k brake pads will interchange.
