Thumbs up Went from OEM ap2 Pads to AP1 pads

I changed my brake pads today and to my surprise my OEM ap2s were already down to ~20% after only 38k miles! I went with the OEM ap1s because I hated how much dust the AP2 pads produced. I know that the AP1s are a different compound but I feel like there is not as much initial bite as my AP2s had. The AP1s feel mushier initially but its actually very linear.

Does anyone else have any extensive experience with the two pads? Would the ap1s settle and behave like the ap2s?

going from a used set of pads to a new set will probably feel different even if they are the same pads.

And that's not unusual for pad life, I did my fronts at 45k miles, with less than 10% life left.

38k and 20% is great...i get 09 accords with 10k needing rear pads, with the sensor rubbing.

agree with said above, even if you replaced it with the same pad it would feel different. and the ap2 are probably a more aggressive compound hence why they dont have as much initial bite. Im willing to bet though the ap1 pads will feel great with a little heat into them.
