AP1 Radiator on AP2

AP1 Radiator on AP2
So my friend's AP2 radiator had a hole so I got him a radiator for his birthday, I didn't know it was an AP1 and I didn't even know there was a difference between the radiators. The fan switch plugs ended up being different. How would we go about using this AP1 radiator on his AP2? Its a 2007. Could we just buy an ap1 fan switch?
