Default AP1 shocks on an AP2?

Hey everyone, first post outside of my intro post. I'm super new to S2000s and I've got an easy question for you guys.

My 2004 S2000 has yellow KONIs w/ Eibach springs and they're noisy and annoying. (This is my daily driver, not a fun project unfortunately) I was going to put the stock suspension back on. I found a decent set from an AP1, will those bolt onto my AP2? I don't think there is any difference, but figured I would check here to be sure.

Thanks!

The shocks are interchangeable across all model years. A set of '06-07 coil springs will provide the most compliant ride and you'll have the suspension apart anyway. They're frequently for sale on Ebay along with the shocks. They'll restore OE ride height as well so you'll scrape over fewer curbs and speed bumps.

The set I found was from a 2002, apparently only 60K miles. About the same as my 2004 that has 66K on it.

If I were you I'd just put OEM springs on the Konis rather than bolting 17 year old shocks to the car.

Cody - The KONIs don't appear to have the correct spring seats and I think that's adding to the noisiness. So I don't think putting the stock springs on there will help on that front. Besides, the rebound on the current suspension is terrible... I'm not sure if they're just wore out or what.

Damping rates and spring rates are different, year by year.

But, yes, they will bolt up.

If you are looking for a set of 04-06 OEM springs only to put on the Koni Yellows. I have a set ready to ship. Just pay the shipping cost. Should be around $45.00 USPS. Welcome to the S2K world.
