Default AP2 4.77 Gear Yellowbox Setting

Hi, I think this thread will help for AP2 drivers with 4.77 FD gears.

I just installed 4.77 gear and yellowbox last night.

I tried to search how to set the yellowbox. However, I couldn't find anyone who has the same setup as mine.

Finally, I found a s2kier who has similar setup as mine. He's running 16.25%.
But I think, that's inaccurate on my AP2.

I am running 255*45*17 rear wheels and 4.77 FD gear.

I also have AEM EMS. Do I have to different route to setup?

Anyone know what ratio should I set?

Yeah... I found that one, but I don't see anyone's setup as mine.

It was in the original instructions. Where are they?

If your setup is so unique, why not just use a GPS to measure your speed and then do your own ratio?

Excellent advice. The only thing I would add is try to find a long, flat, fairly straight piece of roadway and run it in both directions. But I think you'll still find a little bit of error will creep in at higher speeds.

I have mine set a couple times. First time was using GPS and clocking it to get it close via that. Had it within .5%, until I had some other work done. AEM EMS shouldn't effect it to my knowledge.

I did notice when my boost upgrade was set up, with no correction %, my odometer was JACKED! A normal trip to the gas station in my Accord was 5.6 miles. Took the S, uncalibrated and it read like 7.9!

The second time, I calibrated it to my trips. I know certain distances where my trip odometer should be at that point, and I could calculate from there. That worked for me. Now my trip in the S to the same station is 5.6. And speeds are relatively in close ratio to my rpms.

I found that my mph was almost right on, but as raymo says, the faster you go, the error margin creeps a little.
