Default AP2 Bumper Conversion Question

I did a search and could not find a definite answer on this question. I know people say you have to shave the AP1 bumper brace when you do this conversion. I am having a huge problem finding a shop who will even let me shave the brace and do the work, let alone shave the brace themselves.

So here is the question -- can you bolt on the AP2 brace? Here is a pic, I am 99% certain it is part 11 in the diagram (and #16 would be the foam brace):

Hope this helps: headlight and bumper conversion. There is a kit from hard top guy for the inner fender liners.

You bolted the AP2 bumper brace on?

Does it just bolt on or do you need a special tool?

Why did you thank me?

Shaving that brace, no matter how minor, is technically against the law. That's why no shop will do it. You just have to know the right shop. I had to shave the brace on my prelude for my Mugen front bumper.
