AP2 clutch in AP1?
have a MY01 clutch that still does the buzzing deal, not to mention the last time i was in the shop i was told my clutch fluids are slowly leaking and it was recommended that i swap out master/slave cylinders fairly soon.
just wondering if it's possible to take an entire stock ap2 setup (flywheel, clutch pressure plate, disc, release bearing & fork, master & slave cylinder) and put it into my car? any other major parts that i'd need?
any input would be welcomed, thanks in advance.

90% s2k clutch master cyls leak. So if you have a drip, change the fluid it will stop.
You can use all those AP2 parts, except:
The flywheel (its heavy and would be a performace downgrade)
The slave cyl (it has a delay valve. you could remove the delay, and if you needed to, you could use it)

my leak stopped after I changed the fluid, surprised me as I thought my mc was dying out, but it's still going strong. There's no need to swap the slave if yours is good, then you don't need to worry about the cdv issue. There are lots of cases of s2k's going well over 100,000 miles on clutches, yours may be able to last a bit longer if it isn't giving you slipping issues.
You'll have to decide if the buzzing issue is bothering enough the swap the system, but it's a common problem many ap1's have without any performance or reliability side effects. When you decide to change it out resurface the ap1 flywheel and just use a new disc and pp. You don't neeed to swap the fork, a new release bearing and pilot bearing should be part of the mix.
**NOOB QUESTION ALERT**
i've only owned 2 manuals in my life (the S being the 2nd) and never had a clutch go bad or wear out, so....how do i know if the clutch is "slipping"? like is it something i'd feel? would the car not go into gear?
**/NOOB QUESTION**
also, any easy way for me to check to see if my clutch fluids are still leaking? the mechanic (who's pretty handy with s2ks) said i was almost completely dry on the fluids so he topped it off for me.

Billman, do you know of a grease that will actually last when i grease the cup and the ball end of the rod on the slave cylinder? Or do i need to do something to make it smooth. I grease it with high temp grease and it stopped being smooth and getting stuck at the bottom of the pedal travel after only a week.
