Thumbs up AP2 headlight conversion?

Hey to anyone who has experience with headlight conversion...just got in an accident and working with the body shop to get AP2 bumper and headlights replacements for my AP1; i already confirmed through dealer bumper is fine, but I need to know if the headlights will fit w/o modification. It's the only way the shop will take care of it for me because of the insurance issue...any help is appreciated

It takes quite a bit of fabrication to rig the AP1 ballasts to the newer lights. Even then it's a hack job no matter how you cut it.

Bumper is not a direct fit either. You'll need to replace the fenderwells, underpanel, and grind the beam to make it right.

the headlights can be a straight bolt in if you can get the ballasts along with the headlights, but that can come out to a hefty price.
