Default AP2 TPS issue

Car: 2006 S2000
Mods, Cat-back exhaust, still running stock cats and headers

I was driving from upstate new york to long island 2 weeks ago. I was going through a toll and do to heavey congestions and trying to get my EZ-pass out, i put the shifter into 4th instead of 2nd for the 15mph roll when i started to accelerate the car bogged a bit but i realized what i did, so i pushed in the clutch and put it in second and took off. After i did this the check engine light came on and so did the VSA light the car started to shutter and bog when ever i let off the gas. I pulled off the highway, shut the car down , let it sit for a few minutes then turned it back on. The check engine light was still on but the VSA turned off. I drove the rest of the way with no problems. The next day i started the drive back up state. I took it easy the whole ride not going past 4.5k rpms to shift. Then about 3/4 of the way home the VSA came on again, so i pulled over and shut it down, then back on and preceded on my way home. I stopped at a Autozone to have them pull the code and it came up with one of these ( i cant remember exactly which one):

P0122 0 - 7 --------------- Throttle Position Circuit Low Input
P0123 0 - 7 --------------- Throttle Position Circuit High Input

how do i fix this problem? I was told the TPS is (part #1)

Now another problem i know i have is i need to replace my clutch, its going to be changed next week. Its slipping pretty bad, now would that have any effect on the TPS?

Thanks for reading.

Clutch won't impact TPS. Had the same issue as u previously which can be solved by swopping out the unit. Some say you can clean up the plug point which might work, didn't work for me though.

don't worry too much. It should b a straightforward fix. Noticed this issue has been popping up with 06+ more often these days. Wonder if there are defects with the APP for them.

^^ Agreed with C32b. Had the same issue. Solved by replacing the part, disconnecting the wiring harness from the ecu and cleaning the connections on both the pins on the ecu and wiring harness connectors.
