Ap2 tranny in Ap1 HELP !

Default Ap2 tranny in Ap1 HELP !

Hey guys,

I know there is alot of topics on that but I can't find the answer i'm looking for .

I just bought an AP2 tranny for my 00 Ap1 S2000.
What is the mods i have to do to make it fit ?

Can someone tell me the exact part numbers i need ?

You need to remove the output flange from the ap1 tranny and install it on the ap2 tranny.

Your speedo will also be a little off.....yellow box install will fix it. But yes rear flange swap and that is it.

Damn, is this flange easy to replace? If so this sounds like a MUST DO upgrade for any older AP1 with clunky/chunky or sticky trans issues. I see Ap1 MT for like $500, are the Ap2 generally more?

you dont need part numbers, there's nothing to buy. Put your ap1 flange on your ap2 trans.

I have a question about this too, not trying to thread Jack but do you have to pull the transmission apart or is it just one big nut on a shaft type deal? Like a 10 min job or 2 hour job?

thanks for the info the shorter gearing and the longer 6th along with less clunking sound like a nice upgrade to my car, the shift to 2nd on the MY00 leaves something to be desired
