so what is your suggestion?

i don't think i could justify the purchase( i am a cheap skate btw) just by thinking/wishing the intake would somehow do better in the road.

most shortram or non heat-protected intake will experience heatsoak, the arc box is right there in the open.

FPIK, spoon, would be the better way to imho if you live in rainy area

vote for the k&n fipk. probably would give you similar gains to the arc, but it has a heatshield box around it which holds off heatsoak much longer if not forever on not so hot days.
