Can you guys explain how to do this in a bit more detail or with pictures? I am thinking this is what I need to do, but really aren't that experienced on the spanners so need all the help I can get.

Would really appreciate any help you guys can offer me

Thanks,

Ben

I just swapped my cv cups, and used redline cv grease. After cleaning out the cups I hardly saw any wear. I have 118,xxx miles on my04. DO NOT just try swapping the axles, because the passenger side axle is actually longer than the driver's side.

Hey guys I'm getting vibration under throttle mainly in 3rd gear in vtec and some vibration in other gears. No vibrations at all when I'm cruising off the throttle.

Seems like I need to swap the buckets I'm not the most car savy guy especially with suspension.

How can I do this?!

Simple search yields results, unfortunately the pics are dead: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-un...y-pics-241367/

Billman is correct, however I want to add something that he didn't for the sake of continuing to do what you can to increase the amount of vibration free miles you can achieve out of your original buckets. Ive posted this a few times in years past but see i have not chimed in this thread from the dead so I will repeat it. I got 220k miles on my original axle buckets, half of that was boosted and i am an aggressive driver with some track time in there so mileage may be even better for others. There is 3 different combinations and in no particular order which you can/should incorporate to get the longest life possible and I will list bellow, as mentioned this will be in no particular order, because it does not not matter, all that matters is your changing the wear path in the cup each time.

**OEM config starts to vibrate
-swap cups
-then add spacers
-then swap the cups back to original position and put back in your spacers

These are the combinations I employed. After 220k miles and 13 years of ownership I started to get vibration back on the pass side axle, so i recently picked up a low miles used set of axles from a member and robbed the cups and roller bearings from them and swapped in. Dont toss your cups/axles until you employ all combinations. I got approx 50k miles out of each change after the first was required. I opted for the 2 piece spacers because they dont require removal of the cups to install, which makes for a much quicker job. Why anyone would even bother with a one piece I have no idea.

The DIY isn't really doing anything for me lol I'm a visual guy when it comes to this stuff.

I will ask a mechanic to look into it. If I can just put spacers to stop the vibrations that's good enough for me until I swap the cups.
