Transmission Issues Identified and repaired by Inline Pro
I wanted to inform the S2kI community of my recent experience with Inline Pro. I had previously posted some topics on ordering a new clutch for my car because of some whirring noise that occurred in neutral clutch out. At first I thought it was the throw out bearing and guide, so I purchased the parts including an OEM clutch disc and an ACT precssure plate. They installed the setup in no time at all and the clutch worked great except that whirring noise in neutral was still there. I figured then it was the input shaft bearing on the transmission. They re-pulled the tranny and took it apart and found a couple bearings that were worn.
Besides their expertise in the repair of my transmission, the customer service was just fregin over the top. I have an aftermarket warranty on my 01 s2000. I figured they wouldn't pay to fix a noise in the tranny since it wasn't actually broken. John at Inline Pro kept in contact with my warranty company as suggested by my warranty company. Their adjuster came out to take a look at my dis-assembled transmission. I'm guessing John explained to the adjuster the issue in such a way which convinced them to pay. I've read a 100's of reviews on my warranty company saying how they find any way to weasel out of paying. They replaced the input shaft bearing, secondary shaft bearing, and the tail shaft bearing. The tranny is quieter and shift smoother than the 5k miles '06 I sold.
Suffice it to say, I'm just absolutely blown away on how well the whole experience went. Most of all I live very close to them so when turbo time comes, they'll be my installers. I had the biggest grin on my face on the way home from that shop.........GAWD I LOVE THIS CAR
