I had the engine light on on my 2006 s2000. The dealer found the ect sensor 2 defective (error p2185 circuit high voltage) after changing the piece and checking the wires (4 hours later!!!!) they tell me my computer is defective and I should replace it (just the piece here in Canada is 900$!) Any advice???

My first ecu used to throw a constant P0411 code. $75 for a used ecu on ebay and $30 to the guy at the dealership to program my keys to the new ecu and it was done.

Do you know if it will fit? I know it s AP2 but I fought ecu could be different from year to year.And how can i know it will not be defective the same way?

It looks like that ECU should work, and it also sounds like the technician at your dealership has weak diagnostic abilities.

 

You have to use an ECU from 2006+. The 2004-2005 AP2 weren't drive by wire and won't work in your car. You might also check into Flashpro and see if that would work for you.
