Default Bad Engine noise :(

My '03 with Vortech installed, 7500Km....... it is a new car......

Little back ground story!:

Anyway, I don't know what is going on...... I got the Oil light on for few seconds after a HARD break at a Red light......... 15min later, one race with SL55 '00, (After Killing him) I get the engine light on.....!! few hundred meters, I reach home.... Switch it of, and picked it up to my workshop.....

The mechanic checked it, and the assumption that the fuel pump with was pushing the fuel due to low tank and the engine is a bit lean,,, need more fuel... so I have to get FPR (Fuel Pressure regulator) ratio 1:4.... I am having 7-8 Psi of supercharger... so 8 x 4 = 32psi of fuel pressure...

Anyway, they have recommended that I should fill up the tank, and give it another try......... So I did!...

The story:
On my way home, after filling the tank, I have warmed up with an M5. Being at his tail, and getting excited to pass by him, I get this Nock NOOOCK sound from the engine!!!!!!!

Oh My GOD! ....... I slowed down, but and the engine was smooth,,,,,,, it is only when I accelerate I hear the should.. as if the headers gasket (spelling) went out........... the sound it not loud but very clear...

I turned around and took the car to the garage........!!

I will pass by tomorrow to check what is going on under the hood..........

let me know what you think.... Thanks

Omran

Double check all of your computer box wiring. You may have a bad connection on one or more wires. This might explain the CEL. On the other hand, you might have something else wrong but you won't know till you check all the wiring and then pull the code.

After the oil light first came on, you should have checked the oil level. You should have been checking the oil level all along, but that another story. It's sounds like you ran the engine dangerously low on oil, then continued to drive at high rpm. This is NOT GOOD. The fuel pump has absolutly nothing to do with the oil light, which comes on when there is no oil pressure. You can't have oil pressure when you don't have any oil. Going by your story, You have either a scuffed piston, or a rod knock. Both pretty much mean the engine is trashed.

As far as the FMU from Vortech goes, It's a 10:1 unit, It increases fuel pressure 10psi for every # of boost. in addition to stock fuel pressure. That means at 7.5 #'s of boost, the fuel pressure is 125 psi.
