Earlier I had posted about a rattle in my belt tensioner. Here is what happened.

I had bought a billet aluminum water pump pulley and it cracked all 3 spokes. I dont have a pic sorry. So the pulley was spinning unevenly causing the tensioner to rattle away starting with minimal rattle until today the thing was rattling loud. so i took it off and put the stock pulley on.

My guess is the pulley is not strong enough to handle the extra load from the supercharger. I was running it for a long time w/o the charger so thats my verdict.

PS, its not a pulley from Rick's accessories to make that clear. I will post the name when necessary

I believe the actual presence of the S/C changes the harmonic vibrations of the entire engine. I was running the car for a few days with the S/C bolted on but not being driven by the belt. This vibration is most apparent and has been noted by others. I think the extra and "odd" vibration will cause all components to be stressed more than before and the aftermarket pulley may have been just weak enough that it developed fractures and eventually broke.

If this is the blue Pro Autosports Hydro Pulley it's not the supercharger. It has happened before.

I have since installed a Rick's (Voodoo) Ti magnum shift knob and this has dampened the vibration to some extent.
