Default Best spark plugs for N/A '01 AP1?

I'm going to replace my spark plugs. I have no boost or nitrous.

Are OEMs the only plugs I should use or is there better plugs out there?

BTW, I run 93 octane in my S, if that makes a difference.

I'd go for the OEM plugs as a replacement. They're very high quality and some people have complained about the Denso equivalents failing early on in their use cycle. You're looking for this part # if you want the stock replacements: PFR7G-11S

My local dealer rapes me on any parts I buy. Is there a good source on-line for the OEM plugs?

I also recommend OEM plugs. Note that the OEM plugs last a very long time, and I wouldn't even think about replaceing them until you reach over 50k miles. According to recommended replacement interval in the owner's manual they are scheduled to last 105k miles!

Yes, the dealer wants too much money for them and buying online gets you the same part for less.

I see what your saying, however I can't see that changing the spark plugs will hurt anything though.

the only reason you would want to replace the plugs sooner then expected would be if you burn alot of oil. The plugs could foul or get covered in carbon.

platinums are great for a stock trim s2k, iridiums arent worse but they prove very little gain.

It does burn oil.

It burns 1/4-1/2 of a quart every 3,000 miles, which BTW is when I change it.
