Don't use olive oil. It has a low smoke/burn temperature.

Hmmm... I've been using Honda MTF since I've had the car; but now I'm considering Amsoil, since I've always read a lot of positive feedback on it too, and it's synthetic for durability.
Thinking might as well go full synthetic across the board on my S2k with the Amsoil MTF.. since my engine (Castrol Edge Synthetic) and diff (Mobil Synthetic Gear Lube) are synthetic too.
I'm sure the Honda MTF isn't synthetic.
