Thumbs down big problem

Okay, 2001 NFR with 61.3k miles, intake test pipe (no de-fouler), cat back exhaust.

I have a misfire on all four cylinders and the system is too rich and i have strong shudder in the car when it idles or rides cold and i have less of a problem once it warms up and it over 3k rpm. I have a alot of backfiring also. What do i do?

P0301 7 - 1 P1399 ____ Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
P0302 7 - 2 P1399 ____ Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0303 7 - 3 P1399 ____ Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0304 7 - 4 P1399 ____ Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
P030# and/or P1399 __ Random Misfire
P0179-running rich

So i replaced the spark plugs. and it seemed to fix the problem. But now the car still has these little hiccups.

My question is, if i have been running mildly rich, would it be enough to completely foul the O2 sensor in my testpipe and keep it from reading anything. hense causing the ecu to dump more gas into the engine and now is pretty much flodding the engine at low RPMs. Does this snd plausible? I only have the hiccup at idle or when i start accelerating in first and second gear.

So my guesses are,
O2
Bad gas
coil packs
IAC clog

throw me some ideas

Most times these misfire issues are fixed by replacing either the injectors or coilpacks.

Find another s2k owner in your area who would be willing to let you borrow their coil packs for an afternoon. Clear the codes and drive around for a couple hrs to see if the coil packs make the difference If so, go order yourself some new ones from Majestic Honda online. If not, it's probably your injectors.

You can try having the injectors cleaned...but others have found that is only a temporary fix. The problem will come back in a couple months. New injectors are the best way to go.

One other question though...did the misfires start happening suddenly or did you get them gradually over time...one cyl after the other and gradually notice idle was getting rough?

I have seen a couple members have the misfire issue and idle problems that turned out to be bad gasoline. Obviously, the driveability issues came on rather quickly with the bad gas.

well i just replacecd my spark plugs and my #1 plug was destroyed. I think it is also from bad gas, but mostely because my O2 sensor is fouled horribly from the test pipe and was dumping gas into the engine. So crisis averted for now. But i have to change my O2 sensor and get a de-fouler at the same time. Thanks you.
