Default bleeding brakes

today i changed my front brake pads....after i bleed my brakes...front 2 first and refill brake fluid, but applyin brakes it still feels mushy and soft...so i bled the rear brakes and refilled fluid....applied brakes but still feels soft and mushy...

here is wat i did...my dad pumped my brakes while the fluid spilled out of the bolts from the front left and rite breaks...after pumped brakes and refill fluid same time so the air bubbles would go out...after that i start the car and tried applying the breaks...it still felt soft as i pumped so i thought i had to do the rears too...i did the same thing...but its still mushy and soft....HELP!

what am i doin wrong?

thanks in advance

You did close the bleeder before you lifted off the brake pedal right? If you didn't you just sucked in a bunch of air into your system.

Your description is missing some steps. Either you didn't write them down or you actually didn't do them.
Start with the reservoir adequately filled. You should have a tube going from the bleeder valve at the caliper running into a bottle. The tube in the bottle should end up below the brake fluid level (yes, the bottle should have fluid in it). Begin at the caliper closest to the reservoir (left-front) and work your way around. The pedal goes down ONLY when the valve is open. The valve must closed BEFORE the pedal is allowed to come up. Repeat as many times to get the fluid to run clear. So, open - pedal down ..................... close - pedal up ................ open - pedal up ............... etc.
Then do the right-front, then right-rear, then left-rear. Always check the reservoir and keep it adequately filled. Don't let it get too low.

Now, how did YOU do it?

Have things changed? Am I really 'that' out of touch? I thought you start with the caliper that's furthest from the master cylinder in terms of tubing length.

Warren, I'm shocked. You've been here for over 5 years and have owned an S2000 for how long?
Page 19-8, 2000/2001 S2000 Helm manual ..............................

Begin with left-front and work clockwise, finishing up with the left-rear.

tsk, tsk, tsk!

ps. I'm sure on other cars, it's still the way you've known it.

On my Accord it rr,lf,lr,rf.

Hockey gave a good tip once for a one man bleed. Put a loop in the tubing so that air won't be sucked into the system. You will only suck brake fluid back in.
