yeah i dono what i am goig to do yet? was hoping i would not have to resleeve the block! how much do the motors run? anyone know??

yea you would have to re-sleeve the block you cannot hone any scratches that catch the fingernail on this block..

I would put in a used motor. I would also make sure to have a compression and leak down test performed.

im gana try and get a pic for u guys so u can see it cus it doesnt even really catch your fingernail. im gana take the block out tomorrow or thursday and take it to my shop to get it checked out.

You technically could overbore the stock sleeves .25mm and get OEM oversize pistons while being within spec, but that makes no practical sense. it would be better to go with an usee engine.

Since an "average" human hair is .1 mm thickness, put two human hairs together and thats as much as you can bore lol not much, i agree with everyone saying just buy a new block.

How does one drop a valve. I would like to avoid such a situation on my car! Sadly a friend of mine recently bought a used civic that was running perfectly and all of a sudden he got a check engine light, misfire code and cylinder 4 was reported to have 0 compression. The car was perfectly maintained with all records and my buddy was not driving it hard at all. How do these situations occur?

im sure you can find a used engine in the for sale thread, there is a lot of poeple parting out theirs. i saw a wrecked S on the florida for sale.

considering he dropped it in the 4th cylinder and it was an intake valve, im going to say it was a cracked retainer from an over-rev.
