Shock absorber fluid? Give it the shock test and check for rebound.

Good call, it could be the Shock absorber. Look under the car for a wet shock/spring.
It would be safe to say it is not the rear because, if you have fluid on the outside of the wheel from a diff gone bad, you would have fluid all over the back of the car too.

i just dont get how the shock absorber would be making the loud ass clank clank clank. good point with the differential thing though im guessing blown differential is out of the question. mybe its a bearing that went bad and a seal broke causing oil/grease to get on my wheels and therefore making a noise which just so happens to go away whenever i accelerate? or maybe the noise continues its just my loud ass straight piped muffler covers the noise? ahhhhhh im oficially stressed!

Yes, but the diff mounts are near the diff, in the centre of the car. The fluid is not coming from the diff!

 

If the fluid is coming from the shock/damper then, the shock will make noise as it will bottom out from the lack of pressure in the shock. The noise will clunk and bang on take off, over bumps, and turns. Once the car is moving and the road surface is fairly smooth, you will here little to no noise.

At this point you are going to have to do some looking and investigating your self to know for sure what is going on with your car. If you are not the mechanical type of guy take the car to someone/place that is. Please let us know what you find......good luck
