Blown differential?

the mechanic just left. last week i painted my brake calipers with my friend and i was barefoot so i had him tighten all my lug nuts. problem is the dumbass didnt tighten the back left wheel too well so it was very loose and the liquid on the rim was rusted water from where the wheel meets the hub. anyways im glad to have it running again and thank all of you guys for your help

I just don't understand why you continued to drive when the car was obviously having mechanical problems.
Driving can only make things worse, no excuses accepted.
My suggestion for keeping the cost of repairs down is to not drive a car that is making mechanical noises.
Now, off my soapbox.
There is the possibility the studs have been compromised. There have been several owners that had problems with studs breaking. Several of them had a loose wheel prior. I suggest you or your mechanic remove the wheel and check the threads. Pay attention to the ease that the lug nut comes off the stud. If it takes any extra effort to remove them the studs have been stretched and should be replaced.
If all looks well, clean the threads with a cloth and add a minimal touch of anti-seize to aid in future removal. I personally use a tooth pick to apply the very small amount of anti-seize. Reassemble and torque to 80 ft lbs.

yea i had 4 broken studs in my front right wheel not too long ago because i put a rim from the rear in the front and they didnt fit so the wheel was a little crooked and broke the studs. and thanks for the advice i just checked out the threads and theyre just fine
