Blown HG??
Yes, I am aware of that buddy. I knew that was coming, hah. I’ve been on this site long enough to know that and actually follow some of his procedures and recommendations. I’m not trying to be a douche, but I’m just saying to check with high boost guys that have their chit together and shops rather than ask around in a non-FI subforum. I’ll say this again. I had issues with OEM head bolts and not ARP. Why on Earth would I got back to something that failed. So is an OEM diff superior to a puddymod or 8.8 one? Are the OEM tranny gear set superior to PPGs? Is an OEM fuel pump superior to an E85 pump when running E85? Are OEM injectors superior to ID1000+ injectors when running boost? I can go on, but there’s a difference between NA and FI parts planning.
Update:
So ended up pulling the head and yeah my gasket was blown. Got a new OEM hg along with new mounts and new hondata intake manifold gasket. Went ahead and installed everything and no more over heating issues!
However, I have another problem. My car is supposed to be hitting 23 psi. I went out yesterday and did my initial pull after the install and it felt great. Car felt good and afrs right where they needed to be, 11.8 at full 23psi. Temps looked great too. Did another one and felt great again. When I went to do my third pull, around 4krpm, the car went full rich, 10.0 afr and car did not pull for about a second, then it cleared up and sort of stuttered? Then went and made its 23psi and normal afr. I thought that was a little odd, so I tried another pull and this time, car only hits 13psi and is full rich from 4k up. Car does not pull at all anymore.
I thought I had maybe blew a charge pipe or a line to the wastegate/bov but everything looks fine. Any ideas to what could cause this?? It feels like the car is being choked. I checked my timing and it's dead on. Im on aem ems v2, on e85 with a Omni power 4 bar map sensor. I got my tuned looked at by my tuner and he confirmed only seeing 13psi and car goes full rich, but nothing stands out to him on the log as to why.
Car is completely normal just cruising around. It's when it's under load it's not happy. It almost feels like VTEC isn't engaging, but it is. Just has no pull up top and goes full rich.
Any input would be great!
