no definitly not 1st. i was just in vtec when i downshifted.

alright so the dealer got back to me.

"the oil was only 1/2 quart low"
"yeah i filled it up with 3 quarts"
"..."

so they dont know exactly what is causing the problem. but they and I know theres a problem.

i decided to be nice and not point out stuff he should check but their keeping it for another night and if they call saying the same thing i'll refer to them what to check.

just upadting you guys.

yea a downshift into first at 30 is not a good plan. I would not throw it into first unless i was going 5 mph on my way to a stop light. But i agree the smoke CAN be common depending on the events that happened. Ive blown a cloud so bad i couldnt see behind me. Granted I drifted around a corner while accelling onto the highway. This can cause the PCV to vent excess oil into the intake causing the smoke

It seems to be a valve guide o valve seats issue. I had de same blue smoke in my 85'911 Carrera 3.2 and was exactly this.
