Bouncing and hanging idle
I'm at about 3800 miles, and for the last few days the idle has been off a bit. Twice it dropped so low the car almost stalled. More frequently it's hanging around 1300 and maybe drops to 1000. We've had a lot of rain lately, but haven't hit any big waterholes or splashed thru any intersections. All stock filter, airbox, etc, and still have the hanging idle with clear and now warmer weather.
Also, this may be in my head, but it seems to hesitate when accelerating just off idle. I know it's no torque monster, but there seems to be a rough spot that I don't recall feeling before.
Anything to check here, or a visit to the dealership?

I'm having this same issue.. I have a MY02 with 26k Miles. I think the stock air filter is starting to show its age so it might be not enough air getting into the manifold at idle, but I'm no techie.
Use that warranty!
Any check engine lights?
I wonder if you can have the dealership connect an obd scanner and see if you are receiving anything out of the ordinary, Maybe you could exagerate the situation over the phone so the tech's would have to check it out for free.
Maybe talking nice to a autozone employee would get you a free check.
It takes them 30 seconds to check, and some people charge $85 to do it, it's crazy.
I'd like to help since I "had" a hesitation and weird 100-1200 idle points but I don't know enough about your problem to give any real advice.

Sounds like your MAP sensor! Sometimes a light whack can cure it. Also worth doing an ECU reset. Both these topics detailed in "Under the Hood" somewhere.
If it get worse you might need an new MAP sensor. New sensor cured my problem similar to yours.

This is pretty common with all S2000's. Usually after a change in weather for the colder. Sometimes the IAC is slow to react to additional changes in engine load at idle, (AC or defrost on) and the temperature change amplifies this characteristic. The end result is a fluctuating idle speed. If you pull the back-up fuse, let the car idle for 10minutes. This will let the PCM re-learn the idle speed.
