Anyone recommend a BOV for the Comptech supercharger? Don't know if one is needed. Also, what oil are you running with the SC?

i believe there is a Bosch BOV on standard Comptech kit, its vented back to intake for CARB compliance so you don't here it. You have to weld on flange to fit most other BOV's

i would weld on at different location and block off original hole, that way you could test, switch and test performance of each(block new hole with original BOV in place also)

i had Vortech BOV with FMIC...sounds just like a turbo.

note: someone please correct if this is not accurate.

just bring to a turbo shop and see what they say.

 

Aftercooled has a spot for a BOV

the non aftercooled does not have a BOV it has a bypass valve.
The bypass valve recirculates the air and u do not get the blowing off to atmosphere sound.

For the non aftercooled version I did not have the bypass valve installed and we plugged up the piping, and we welded on the BOV.

I will be at the shop later today and will have answers on if this works well or not.

Sorry I did not get back to this post earlier, I have been busy all weekend. I got my car friday non aftercooled with BOV mounted to the pipe going from the blower to the throttle body and everything works perfect. I have no check engine light, nothing.

I can hear the BOV whenever shifting gears or if I rev it.
