Default Brake kit

Okay! I finally saved up enough money to get a brake kit. I deposited it today and I can put it on my card tomorrow. I have decided on the Wilwood mainly because of the price. Is this the best decision??? I have 1400 bucks. Should I jus get the spoon calipers and upgrade rotors, lines, etc. later??? I am really anxious to order this kit ASAP, so quick replies would be great
Thanks

Go with Wilwood. I have them and I love them. They look great and they stop great. What more could you ask?

Wilwood has been around for a hell of a long time and has awesome products that work. I have the Wilwood kit from Docofmind / Team Spugen and on the street you'll notice the weight loss before you notice improved stopping distances. On the track you will notice a difference--but only until the lack of cooling starts affecting performance.

For the street the advantages of going with the Wilwood setup are:
Lighter weight (30 lbs less w/the Dynalite calipers)
Super easy pad swap
Trick look
Cheaper pads

For the track:
Lighter weight
Super easy pad swap
Less fade than stock (resulting in shorter stopping distances)

The biggest bang for the buck upgrade I think you could make to the brakes would be cooling--NASA Ducts and tubing or C&T Engineering Kit.

Exactly. Do you track your car? Have you exceeded the capabilities of stock pad and stock fluid? Stock system with aftermarket pads and high temp fluid? Is there something about the brake feel of the stock system you are trying to correct?

Don't get me wrong; many of the brake systems you are looking at are quality parts that might improve your braking feel an performance under certain conditions, but there are likely far better places to start putting $$ into your car than big buck aftermarket brakes...

If you want them for coolness, pick the one that comes in a color you like and fits with the wheels you like!
