Thumbs up Brakes are worn out?

Well it started out as i was driving normally, when i made right turns, there would be a high pitched grinding type of noise.. it was only when i made right turns, but the local shop said it could be my brakes.. has this happened to any of you?
thanks in advance!

How many miles are on your car? Unless you have done repetitive hard, late braking from high speed, (in between 75-80 to 100+ mph) down to 35 mph over and over and over, I really doubt that your brake linings are worn.

Dun't ask how I know this.

It could be, but the only way you are going to know it to take the wheels off and inspect the brake pads.
