Unhappy break-in

You guys have been asked this many times before, Im sure, but break-in seems to be a topic that, has many opinions. I have 400 mi. on my s2k and have been trying to adhere to the 600 mi. no vtec. It has been hard, to hold back, and have to admit, I did touch switch-over once, just to see where it was, (not much will power, here!). Generally, its been kept under 5k, it has not been babied, and it has not been pushed. I have not touched the the right pedal to the floor yet, but have allowed it to rev up and down the non-vtec range. Is this acceptable, in your opinions?
What I really want to know is, after break-in, do you recommend an oil change, or wait ontil the recommened interval the computer suggests ( I think that is new for 06). Right now after 400mi. it still is showing 100% oil life?

Sounds like you're doing everything you need to do, now just resist the temptaion a little longer.....

Wait to drop the oil until indicated.

Happy motoring and I hope the remaining 200 miles fly by.

You should wait 6000 miles before changin the oil on a new one, because this is the factory fill oil. Your engine needs that during the first 6000 miles. This oil helps the engine walls get smoother and will help the engine life.
