well I had an opportunity to change the part to find out the other side has a cracked roller too. Straight as if cut with a laser....puzzling.

i have no clue....literally. no clue. how many miles? how did you find out? were you having problems? or did you just happen to find it while the valve cover was off during some other maintence? drive it hard much? follow proper oil change intervals?

[JOKE]Is your car stock?[/JOKE]

Seriously though, what head work have you had done? Are the springs and retainers stock? I guess if you have stronger springs the rollers could be under greater stress and eventually fail.

the head is not stock and Earl Laskey put everything together. To my recollection it was Rev Tech parts. All valve adjustments are fine and within specs. No oiling concerns whatsoever. There was some slight noise coming from the head and I decided to inspect everything thus the find. As indicated last night while fixing one side I discovered the intake side has a single crack too. Many have indicated this could possibly be flaw in the casting but I find that unusual for two roller...I will reach out to Earl to acquire some of the information questioned above. Thanks everyone for your input.
