vtec solenoid switch, you can buy a replacement , check majestichonda.com

See part #16 on the cylinder head parts drop-down menu, with part #23 - o-ring needed too.

Ah, thank you! It was running crappy above 4000 rpm, I was worried something was seriously wrong with the head.

Yeah no vtec wouldn't run very well at higher rpms
