bumping transmission
has onyone ever had this problem?
when i pressed the clutch pedal in, then slide the shifter to first gear, it will bump the car forward like a thud.
it's almost like having an auto transmission moving from neutral to drive.
it will only do this for the first time though.
if i press the pedal then move the shifter, it will do it only for that one time, then it will be smooth moving to whatever gears after that as long as i'm still keeping the pedal pressed in
but if i release the clutch, then press the clutch again, it will do it again for the first gear that i'd try to select.
does it have anything to do with clutch master/slave cylinders?
please help.
thanks.

i've noticed this on many s2ks that i have driven thankfully the s2000 i bought doesnt have this problem. what u have to do is disengage clutch for 2-3 seconds before putting it in gear. this thud sound is because the shaft is spinning at high speeds and u suddenly put it in gear causing the jerk movement sort of. So when you come to a red light for example and you want to put it in 1st, press the clutch and wait a second or two before putting it in first. By doing this, the thud will not occur. Whereas, if you put the gear in first as soon as you press the clutch, the thud will happen
