My car has a tendency to USE oil. As long as the smoke is not BLUE in color you should be fine. If I have not got on it for a bit, my car will show white smoke out the exhaust when I do, but this is normal as our cars tend to run rich and this builds up and needs to be blown out every now and then.

However, as I stated above, my car does USE oil and always has. I normally use about a quart between oil changes. But again, this is normal for me.

Did you just start the car? Because the white smoke could be condensation....

if the smoke is a cloudy-milky color, it could be a head gasket problem...coolant is entering the combustion chamber.

if the smoke is light/dark gray, its just that the car is running rich (DOHC VTEC motors run rich during vtec ).

if the smoke is any shade of blue, you are burning oil due to bad oil rings or a number of other possibilities.

It's hard to tell on my car because the blue LEDs in my exhaust tip tend to give all smoke a blue hue.

ROFL

check out the spark plugs and see if they are clean or covered in gunk. They are a fairly good indicator of engine health.
