Default burning oil

since the injectors are basically "shut off" during deceleration, no combustion is taking place which is what provides a strong seal between the piston rings and cylinder walls. My engine is burning oil ONLY when decelerating while in gear. Then at the light or where ever i just decelerated too it burns off the excess oil that got into the combustion chamber, exhaust become 100% normal. It wont happen untill another deceartion period while in gear......weird, i have done a compression and leakdown test and passed with flying colors, 220 across all 4 cylinder and each held it for a long time with no drop in pressure. What do you guys think? is this normal ?

its an ap1, i just swapped in a 2002 engine which i purchased with aprox 100miles on it, i have put about 430miles on it so far and i am running DINO oil at the moment.

any feedback guys ? this happen to any of you?

Did you remove the valve cover?
How did it look?
Were there any deposits at places where the oil had been sitting for 7 years?

As long as those deposits - if there were any - are soft they won't damage the seals but it will make them seal less until it wears away.
