I know it's just funny that a little passive throttling valve can be marked up to such an extent. Not even professional engineering grade TXVs cost that much. Maybe they do for some ultra specialized application like fast cold rooms, this is an S2000 though, it just has to work good nuff in the summer time.

 

So what a/c parts are ok to buy that are not oem?

 

Condenser, drier, expansion valve, they're standard parts nothing special about them. Do use OEM everything else if possible. Not much left after that though.

 

Do yourself a favour and purchase a new clip for the expansion valve.

It's a horror to remove, so I 'forcefully' removed it then replaced it with the new one to save my sanity.
