Default A/C stopped working at this great time in florida.

So I took my car mabey 3 months ago to get my tranny replaced. I messed it up baddddddd. Everything was done and now my s2000 is a happy shifter again. Before all this, the A/C WAS working fine. There was not one issue with it. It blasted some of the coldest air ive had in any car. After the tranny swap, nothing but hot air.... This has become a big problem now since its like 100 degrees here in Orlando! Also very very frusterating when it rains.

What is the steps I should take to checking out this problem? I really need my A/C back and do not suspect this to be a big issue because it was working before I had my tranny removed, so i am expecting this to be something that mabey my mechanic may have moved or shorted out. Help me out here guys. I am sweating my ass off here. Thanks!

Make sure they didn't unplug the compressor clutch, if they removed the compressor to replace the trans, which is the S/M procedure but not really required.

Is there some type of write up to get to the compressor clutch to switch it back on? Can anyone show me how and where it is? Thanks guys.

Do you notice a difference in idle when you toggle the A/C button on and off? Have you checked for fuses related to the A/C system?

no i know what you are talking about. There is not that change in engine tone or steadyness when you regularly change to A/C mode..hmmm. I wanted to check the fuses for the A/C but didnt see any fuses that where bad.

Makes you wish you'd taken a quick glance at the wiring harness two weeks ago, doesn't it?
