called Honda but was told there was no stock for the S diff washers, got to order fr Japan, etc etc etc.

will change the diff fluid this weekend for the 1st time, so unsure of current washers condition. went to local part shop and grab a pack of 18mm plug washers. they are not made of copper/aluminium.

would this be a prob?

Sure. The one on the diff is probably still good though. I just reuse mine a couple times, and check them every couple of weeks for leakage.

 

I would reuse the current one before sticking on a generic version. I've reused diff drain washers a couple times in a row and they neeeever leak.
