Do the new gears throw the speedometers off? If so, is there a fix???

Yes it does throw the speedo off. Do a search for "yellow box". That is what is used to get the speedo to the closest calibration.

I have a question regarding top speed.... You say that it will reduce the top speed, which I agree with.... The thing I dont understand is that my car pegged out at 178 on the dyno, but there's no way in heck my car will pull that on the street. I realize that the car hits an aero wall and just cant pull that speed. My best pull on the road thus far has been 157. I know that the 4.44's should be geared to hit around 160 still, so why would I not be able to at least hit 157? It's not changing the aerodynamics, so to me I should still be able to hit that speed, and honestly I would think I could hit it faster too.

I guess what I am saying is that the gearing will reduce your THEORETICAL top speed, but I dont see it lowering your REAL top speed.

If anything, I would think you might be able to attain a higher REAL top speed with shorter gearing.

OH and to comment on the reduced fuel economy..... SCREW fuel economy... I've never once worried about how much my S2000 costs at the fuel pump, that's not why I bought it... In fact, I once ripped through a fuel tank in 150 miles and laughed to myself.
