Cannot start car, please help
Hey guys, so I have encountered this really annoying problem recently, let me describe.
About 2 weeks ago I got in my car as usual and it would not start, when I inserted the key, all lights would come on, then I would press the clutch, press the start button, I would hear a click, but the car
would not start, or nothing beyond the click. I would only see the ABS light come on.
When I let go of the button, the ABS light goes away. All lights turn on, stereo turns on, everything operates as normal.
For the first few times this occurred, I simply waited a few minutes and then it magically started. Then it kept started for 10-15 starts with no issues.
Yesterday I went to start it and it would not, I had to push start the car, drive it to my house and now it's parked and just frustrating.
I appreciate the help guys and gals.

You will have to go through a process of elimination.
You're hearing a click, and you are able to push start it. That means your immobilizer isn't the problem.
The next time you have it running, check the voltage. If you're getting 14.5+ volts, it's likely not the alternator.
Take your battery terminals off your battery and clean the terminals & clamps. It doesn't matter if they look clean, they need to be abraded with a wire brush, steel wool or sandpaper. Reconnect them tightly.
If that doesn't fix the problem and you're getting enough voltage from your alternator, try removing and cleaning the electrical contacts on your starter. Clean the ground strap contacts to your engine as well.
Still not working? I'd start looking for a new starter.
Good luck!

SOLVED!
FYI for future instances.
The cable running from the button was a little loose, i moved it around a little and perhaps, "plugged it back in", now it works!
Thanks to everyone who gave an answer here.
