You are guaranteed to break plenty of 1/2" drive stuff, unless its used on an impact tool.

Amazing the snap-on 1/2" gun takes that nut right off.

You need a 3/4" drive breaker bar and 3/4" drive 36mm socket. Put any lenght pipe you want over it, you wont break it. The nut will come off I promise.

yea ima go with the 3/4 inch. on another note i really dont wanna take the knuckle to a shop for pressing id rather do it myself with the 12 ton press from harbor freight.
what im afraid of is if i buy to bearings and when i pull them i find that the hub too is damaged then i have to wait a week or so for the hubs to get there. and this i my dd. im praying that the hub is ok. from what ive seen the hub is more expensive than the bearings and i really wanna do both in one shot.

also when i go to put the nut back on how can i know imputting it to 240ft.lbs without a massive torque wrench?

A 250 ft/lbs wrench is $80 at harbor freight. It's either that or tighten it until the blood vessel above your right eye bursts, but it needs to be calibrated.

50% chance the hub is shot. When you press out the hub, the outer bearing race will be stuck to the hub. The inner race will stay in the bearing. The surface where the inner bearing rides on the hub will become exposed so you can see it. You'll know just by looking if its no good. There will be a small lip on the hub, due to the race wearing out the hub making the surface low, which makes the lip.

I used the "I weigh 180, if I stand on this pipe at 250/180 feet away, it'll be 250 ft-lbs" highly calibrated torque wrench.
