Default Car Bogging Below 3000rpms

My car just began to bog below 3000rpms. As soon as i take off normally driving the car will like choke until 3000rpms where it starts taking off normal. What could be the cause of this? I have a brand new K&N air filter(1 month old), brand new synthetic oil, and just changed out the tranny fluid.

I have not done the clutch TSB could this be the clutch slipping? My car has 12,300miles on it and it is a 2001.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If the clutch is slipping you would see in on the tach. You would also feel and probably smell it. Sounds like you have some other problem. You might try resetting the ECU. There are several treads on the subject.

is it real sluggish or actually jumping around and acting bad below 3k rpm?
If it just feels really sluggish notice the temp out side when this happens. Heat really affects these engines in bad ways. On a really hot day, with the A/C on i have a hard time starting out on a hill....really hard time.

Actually yeh then it might be the heat because now that i think about it, its been when its scorching outside(South Florida weather). Yeh that could be why is very sluggish on take off.
