car dies when running hard
just wondering if anyone could give me some insight on this problem. i am new to the forum and did a search and found nothing. if i am running the car hard from 1st to 2nd and sometimes third it will die like the fuel is being cut. no noise, no anything, just dies for 2-3 seconds and then pics back up like normal. the car is warm and i am not hitting the rev-limiter. it started after i installed a k&n airfilter, do i need to reset the ecu or do they "learn" thanks in advance

If that's what it is, it should be an easy fix. It's not mentioned in the TSB (Technical Servie Bulletin) but Billman250 has suggested packing the contacts for the MAP sensor in silicone dielectric grease when you install it before it's zip-tied. This may even help to smooth idle. I just got a new zip-tie for the MAP the other day ($4.49) so I can try it on mine. It definitely couldn't hurt.
