hey guys I have been having this problem on an off but lately its been happening more and more and now every time I come to a full stop the car just dies. I notice that it starts happening after I vtec in a lower gear the idle just gets bad and the car dies. Ive tried cleaning the IAC Valve, clean intake filter and cleaned the map sensor none have solved my problem. Are there any other solutions any of you would recommend? I was thinking of maybe reseting the ecu(just put on an single exhaust) or checking if the throttle cable is loose. I notice some black soot around the vtec solenoid last week as I was doing an oil change perhaps its a bad solenoid? Any help/input/fix would be appreciated!

check your coil packs? spark plugs?

i have the same problem and thats another thing on the list of things that i've been meaning to check.

 

I dont think its my spark plugs(replaced about 16k miles ago) it maybe my coilpacks im not sure.

 

Hey chow so I cleaned the throttle body ports and re calibrated it and so far the idle has gotten better but im gonna drive it to work soon and see if that fixed it. Some more input on a fix would be appreciated thanks!
