LMAO...i know exactly what you mean! the problem with this is that it doesnt' happen all the time and i have yet to figure out a pattern. warmed up/cold, hot weather/cold, sunny/raining.....doesn't seem to matter. i see it more like some of my previous girlfriends.....the attitude comes out of the blue and i never know why! then it goes away and yet again, i am left clueless as to the reason!
(note: no attempts to make a sexist joke were made, this could easily be fitted to the "boyfriend" role also, for you ladies out there!)

For those who dont know my history:
Im on my 3rd tranny, spankin' new and now with about 4000 absolutely trouble free miles
That's NO grind even when I expected it, just cant make it happen, as smooth shifting as was intended by Honda.
First tranny I had would grind, after the TSB it wouldnt grind AS MUCH but still did it.
So after 3 days of high speed driving it totally seized up, I was stuck in TX and not going anywhere.
I got a used tranny as a temp replacement - untill 2 months later Honda gave me a new tranny.
The second is my spare/experimental . . .
BUT anyway, the internals of the tranny are ALWAYS in contact, just not always engaged. Some trannys are of such tight tolerances that when cold the gear bearings will drag, hopefully not enough to move the whole car, but sometimes it does. My first tranny did.
Also there is a limited amount of oil inside the mainshaft upon startup, so when cold and been sitting for sometime may aggravate the problem. Oil does not flow untill the car is moving.
So out of all this, some drag (assuming the clutch is OK) would be within spec (normal)
but if bad enough to drag when hot - express your concerns, and do all you can to have future damage covered. A new tranny is ~$3500.
Specifically pertaining to the topic, with the clutch disengaged for a long period(to the floor) the car should never move.

Just for reference, I have the same sort of problem on my 2000. Showed up a few thousand miles after my 2nd gear synchro fix. In my case, its most noticeable when dead cold (rarely shows up warm). It manifests by not being able to get the car out of gear. Say 2nd gear when I'm coming to a stop. Declutch, try and push the lever into neutral and it won't go. And the car wants to keep moving too.
The clutch is definitely dragging and it reminds me of when my Integra broke a clutch disk spring retainer. It was a common weakness on Honda clutches in the past (FWD) and maybe its a problem with the S2K too. It isn't normal behavior (and could in fact be construed as dangerous in my case, can't disengage the gear and stop the car from moving - hell yeah).
I plan on taking it in very soon.
