My bet, rims. The rear RIMS not tires but RIMS are wider than the front rims, now while they may all be able to handle the different sizes of tires, it'll cause one to grip better than the other. Pull off two of the rims and double check their width.
Huh? The rear wheels are supposed to be wider than the front wheels. I have no idea what you're saying.

However, the symptoms described are classic tire-pressure symptoms.

Nono, I should have been more precise, what I was saying is that the rear rims are supposed to be wider, if they didn't know that and put one of the rear rims on the front, it could cause what's described if the pressure is good. My body shop did that, but I made sure to check before I drove out, they had to move the tires.

The rear rims are not supposed to fit on the fronts due to the larger hub size. However it's not impossible to still bolt it up but only if they are total retards so depending on who did the job it's a possibility.

If you look through this thread, I already suggested that possibility. But I think it is an extreme longshot compared to the almost certainty of a tire pressure issue.

The original poster has not come back.... I bet his dad found a nail in the tire and the problem is long since resolved.

Hey all!

I'm still here, lurking in the background. I gave my dad the link to this thread. He was in New York when I started it. I will be going home tomorrow and checking on the S to see if there is anything wrong with it.

Thanks to everyone for all your help so far... as of now it looks like tire pressure is not the culprit. I'll update some more this weekend!
